About the Organisation:
The Parent & Citizen Federation (P&C) NSW is an association supporting Public Schools within NSW. They are committed to a free public education system for all, regardless of gender, race, or culture.  Their members assist in running the school canteens, OOSH, uniforms shops, bands, fetes, and fundraisers. This association has 1800 members of public schools in NSW.
About the Opportunity:
The P&C NSW is looking for a Communications & Marketing Officer to join their small, dedicated, and collaborative team to enhance the brand, growth, and member engagement. This role plays an integral part in implementing external and internal marketing and communications initiatives. The role involves creating, implementing, and distributing communications across a variety of platforms, on digital channels, the website, and journals.
About the Person:
The ideal candidate must showcase self-motivation with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. You will have proven hands-on experience working with content management and email systems, as well as social media. You must have a can-do attitude and be proactive.

You will have exceptional attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication is essential. You will be able to understand and adapt your writing and communication style to suit your audience and marketing channel.
Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Create, develop, and implement engaging communications content for a variety of audiences
  • Execute campaigns that align with the organisations plan and marketing & communications strategy
  • Develop and execute the content management of the website, social media platforms
  • Plan, manage and prioritise communications and engagement activities to meet deadlines
  • Liaise, consult, and communicate with internal and external stakeholder
  • Develop and implement effective promotional, marketing & communication materials, promotional programs, projects, strategies, and campaigns.
  • Create and develop communications materials eg. newsletters, EDMs, journals, blogs
To be successful you will have:
  • Experience creating and writing digital communications
  • Strong written and verbal communications with high attention to detail
  • A high level of initiative and a creative mindset
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable
  • Experience in working autonomously as a creative thinker and hands-on doer!
  • Experience with CRM, CMS systems, MailChimp, WordPress, etc.
  • Previous experience in a marketing/communications role
